The project team consists of computer scientists, education researchers, psychologists, graphic artists, classroom teachers, and middle school students from around the state of North Carolina. This interdisciplinary team includes PI James Lester (Computer Science), co-PI Kristy Boyer (Computer Science, and co-PI Bradford Mott (Computer Science), who are engaged in research and development of game-based learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, and intelligent multimodal interfaces for STEM education. Co-PI Eric Wiebe (STEM Education) specializes in science education with an emphasis on graphic-enhanced elementary science education and science notebooks.
